Polymeric floors

Polymeric floors

Polymeric floors are gaining increasing popularity in offices, industrial spaces, and homes. Depending on the type of polymer used for pouring the floor, it is important to choose the optimal coating for each specific industrial space.

Polyurethane coating

How do we install polyurethane floors?

Polyurethane coatings are a liquid construction material with self-leveling properties. When performing the installation, we evenly apply the coating to the concrete floor, creating a smooth and seamless surface.
  1. Prepare the concrete floor base.
  2. Grind the concrete.
  3. Apply a layer of adhesion and then the polyurethane base.
  4. Apply colored decorative coating if necessary.
  5. Apply a protective coating.
  6. Perform quality control and final polishing.
Advantages of polyurethane floors:
  • Strength and Wear Resistance

Polyurethane floors have flexibility and resilience, making them more resistant to impacts and cracks, especially in cases where the surface is subject to deformations or movement, such as in parking lots or logistics complexes.

  • Chemical Resistance

Polyurethane floors have high resistance to various chemicals, such as oils, solvents, acids, and alkalis.
    3
  • Water Resistance

Polyurethane coatings create a sealed surface that prevents the penetration of water and moisture into the concrete
    4
  • Heat Resistance

Capable of withstanding significant thermal loads and sharp temperature changes, making them suitable for use in hot industrial workshops or freezer rooms.
    5
  • Dust free

Concrete floors with polyurethane coating completely eliminate dust formation. This creates more hygienic conditions indoors and improves air quality

Epoxy coating

Epoxy floors are sometimes referred to as self-leveling floors due to their installation method. During the installation of an epoxy floor, a liquid mixture of epoxy resin and hardener is poured onto the prepared floor surface. Subsequently, it is evenly spread across the entire area, forming a smooth and level surface. This installation method creates the impression that the floor is "poured" in place, hence the name "self-leveling floor."

Epoxy flooring differs from polyurethane flooring in characteristics such as:

  1. Service Life: In commercial and industrial spaces with high usage and mechanical loads, the service life of epoxy flooring is typically between 10 to 20 years.
  2. Excellent Chemical Resistance: Epoxy flooring exhibits excellent resistance to chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and solvents.
  3. Better UV Resistance: Epoxy flooring has better resistance to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, making it more suitable for use in open areas or spaces exposed to direct sunlight.
Areas of Application for Polymer Floors
  • Industrial Spaces

Polyurethane polymer floors are often used in industrial buildings, warehouses, automotive workshops, manufacturing plants, and other sectors where high strength, chemical resistance, and wear resistance are required
    1
  • Commercial Spaces

Polyurethane coatings and epoxy poured floors are widely used in commercial buildings, such as shops, offices, restaurants, shopping centers, and hotels. They provide an attractive appearance, high wear resistance, and ease of maintenance
    2
  • Medical Institutions

In hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other medical facilities, polyurethane and epoxy floors are widely used due to their hygiene, resistance to chemicals, and ease of maintenance
    3
  • Sports Facilities

In sports halls, fitness clubs, sports complexes, and other sports facilities, polymer floors are used for their durability, shock-absorbing properties, and the ability to create special coatings for various sports
    4
  • Educational Institutions

In schools, universities, and other educational institutions, polyurethane polymer and epoxy floors are used due to their wear resistance, ease of maintenance, and the ability to create bright and attractive designs
    5
  • Residential Spaces

Polymer and epoxy floors can also be used in residential areas, especially in high-traffic zones or in spaces with specific requirements, such as bathrooms or kitchens. They offer durability, stain resistance, and easy maintenance
